40 ISSUES – THE CARRIAGE JOURNAL – 1963-1975

THE CARRIAGE JOURNAL is the publication of The Carriage Association of America Inc.,  which has been “Preserving our Horse Drawn Heritage for Over Fifty Years.”

Offered as a lot are ten volumes of the magazine bound in five hardcover volumes of maroon buckram cloth. Issued four times a year, each bound volume contains eight issues, complete with front and rear covers. Profusely illustrated. These journals offer extensive history of various makes and models of horse drawn carriages, carriage building and builders, as well as carriage restoration. This run is from Volume One to Volume Twelve, BUT LACKS the book that would have contained Volumes Nine and Ten (1971-1973). Complete list of the forty issues included follows my illustrations. Individual issues usually run $15 and more.
