This page is a “work in progress”. I have had these books packed away for over 25 years, and now it is time to place them in new collections. In the listings, the Edition number (listed after the titles) is based upon my copy of the FARAH GUIDE 8th printing. All books published by Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, New York.

Where I have gotten to taking images, they are below the listed book in a “gallery.” I have attempted to keep the colors as close to actual with my lighting as possible. Click an image in the gallery for larger images for closer viewing. The first image with a dustjacket on the book will show some glare from the dustjacket protector. I removed the protector for the closeup views of the DJ.

NANCY DREW – THE BUNGALOW MYSTERY – VOLUME #3 – Format #1 – 1930A-1 thru 1921B-5 – (1930), frontis and 3 plates. 204 pages, “blank endpapers, no front cover symbol.” Without dustjacket this could be 1930A-1 through 1931B-5 – it is the dustjacket features that would distinquish printing. Bookplate on front free endpaper, cover wear and soiling. Frontis and internal plates opposite pages 60, 96, 158. Inventory # 072272 – $125

NANCY DREW – THE BUNGALOW MYSTERY – VOLUME #3 – 1937B-17 – (1930), frontis & 3 B&W plates, 204 pages – Nice Copy with uniform colors on front cover of dustjacket. Some faint dampstain on jacket on spine and rear fold to flap. Last edition with frontis and internal glossies which are opposite pages 52, 100, and 164. Faint corner stain at top of two internal plates, hard to figure why there and not pages. Inventory # 072273 – $250

NANCY DREW – THE BUNGALOW MYSTERY – VOLUME #3 – Format 3 – without the dustjacket points (which determine printing sequence) this could be any edition from 1933B-9 through 1937B-17, since there are internals opposite pages 52, 100, and 164. Owner’s note on front free endpaper as to when and where purchased October 1935. Good, blue cloth (hardcover) no dustjacket very light edgewear. Seller Inventory # 072274 – $125

NANCY DREW – THE PASSWORD TO LARKSPUR LANE – VOLUME #10 – FARAH 1933 to 1937 – (1933). frontis and 3 B&W plates. 220 pages – 1933 to 1937, without a dustjacket this book cannot be pinpointed as to printing, it can be from 1933B-3 through 1937A-12. This book was with others gifted at Christmas 1937, so guessing most likely of that year or 1936. No Dustjacket, slight fading to spine, owner’s address label and name and Xmas 1937 written on front free endpaper. Frontis and three internal plates opposite pages: 52, 92, and 196. Inventory # 072284 – $100

NANCY DREW – THE PASSWORD TO LARKSPUR LANE – VOLUME #10 – 1933A-2 — UNCOMMON EDITION – (Sept 1933), frontis and 3 B&W plates. 220 pages – An Uncommon Edition. A copy that has been read a number of times, no dustjacket and edgewear to cloth, some spotting on cloth, and light soiling on foreedge of book block. Frontis, and three internal glossy illustrations opposite pages 53, 92, and 196. Owner’s name and address written on both the front and rear pastedowns. Along with name and address on front pastedown is date – Jan 20, 1934. The copyright page is unique, and identifies this edition, reading:

NANCY DREW – THE CLUE OF THE BROKEN LOCKET – VOLUME #11 – 1934A-1 to 1937A-7 – (1934), frontis and 3 B&W plates. 219 pages, Light fading to spine, as usual, some light edgewear. Without a dustjacket, the edition of this book cannot be pinpointed, and could be FARAH 1934A-1 through 1937A-7. A name is written on the front free endpaper, and address labels are on the front paste down and FFEP. No date written which could have helped, but still an early edition with frontis, and internal glossy illustrations opposite pages: 36, 180, and 212. Good, blue cloth (hardcover) no dustjacket – fading to spine. Inventory # 072286 – $125

Owner’s name, and an address label are on the front free end-paper. Fade and light spotting to spine, wear top and bottom of spine and light on corners. NANCY DREW – THE WHISPERING STATUE – VOLUME #14 – 1937B-1 [Xmas 1937 gift inscription] – (1937). B&W frontis. 217 pages. The bibliographic points in this volume that lacks the dustjacket internally match FARAH 1937B-1 to 1940A-7 based upon the list of titles in the front, and ads in the rear. HOWEVER, on the front free endpaper is the owner’s name written in along with Xmas 1937 — so good guess this is the 1937B-1 edition. There is an address label on the front pastedown. This title has a B&W frontis only as called for. No dustjacket, light fade to spine, and very light edgewear and at top of spine. Inventory # 072289 – $95
