New Old Stock — I purchased a clock restorer’s tubs of parts for the clock books to sell in my book shop. Going through the tubs I have organized what was there into logical lots to share with others. Listed elsewhere I have 12 new music box works ($50 for the lot), lots of small repair parts (springs, washers, hands, etc), various faces and parts; and these new clock faces. Below the clock face details I have some additional clock parts and clock cases.

From what I have researched the most value is in the 10 larger 13×13 faces, and worth possibly more than the entire lot which I have priced at less than $2 each: Pictured in groups below, and included are (I have done my best with measurements for overall card stock size and diameter of face):

As noted, some of these faces are by the Shipley Co. — “Shipley Co. was a supplier of parts for the clockmaking industry, including clock faces and beveled glass, rather than a manufacturer of complete clocks. … The company is known for supplying paper clock faces, such as the “A-1100 Generic Arabic Numerals” dial, which would have been used for replacement or restoration of vintage clocks”

FOUR VICTORIAN CLOCK CASES and REPAIR PARTS

I purchased a retired clock restorer’s collection of parts, and four 19th century clock cases for the books to sell in my bookshop. Now having sorted through the other items and grouping them I have an interesting assortment that hopefully someone can use. Pictured here and included are:

1 – Oak case – 27 x 15 inches
2 – Daniel Pratt, Reading, Mass. – Blue painted sky and buildings on front – 31 3/8 by 16 inches
3 – Birge, Mallory and Co., Bristol, Conn. – Building with bright green grass, trees 34 by 17 inches
4 – Comstock & Minor, Plymouth CT – stenciled patter — 26 1/2 by 16 inches

Clock Springs – mainsprings – an assortment of 12 basically new replacement parts

Clock Faces

Boxes of parts including springs, spacers, hands, etc.
