1945 – RAILROAD TRANSPORTATIONS TEACHER’S KIT – ALL PHOTOS and BOOKLETS and POSTER
In its original envelope which is very worn as shown is what is probably an unused and complete kit, usually not seen this complete. Included are:
1 – original envelope from the Association of American Railroads
2 – A STUDY OF RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION – VOLUME 1 – TEACHER’S MANUAL FOR PRIMARY AND INTERMEDIATE GRADES WITH BIBLIOGRAPHY – Third Edition, 50 pages, these two booklets measure about 7 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches
3 – A STUDY OF RAILWAY TRANSPORTATION – VOLUME 2 – THE STORIES BEHIND THE PICTURES FOR PRIMARY AND INTERMEDIATE GRADES – Third Edition, 68 pages – full page devoted, with illustration and text, to Plates 1 through 56.
4 – PLATES 1 through 56 (a duplicate of plate 2) — verified and in order, my guess is since in order and never pinned on a classroom wall that this set was never used – plates are 8 1/2 by 11 inches
5 – PLATE 57 – not mentioned and seldom seen, this Plate 57 shows RAILWAY TRAD-MARKS on the front, and on the rear the names are listed in the position of each plate.
6 – Fold-Out Poster — ALL UNITED FOR VICTORY — the presence of this original poster further convinces me this “kit” was never used
A complete set with 57 plates, the two booklets BUT NOT THE POSTER has just been offered on a book site for $150.
A Nice Set for your Railroad Collection — and with the rare poster offered at $45
Shipping – $6.95 packed in cardboard and with tracking order number eb2382)
